Magical Forest and HallOVeen at Opportunity Village near Las Vegas downtown is where locals and visitors can come for some good old-fashioned Halloween fun! It’s a magical place full of spooky surprises, amazing attractions, and entertainment that will make the whole family smile.
It started in the mid-1970s when a group of volunteers got together to create a place for kids with special needs and their families to enjoy Halloween fun. Each year, it grows bigger and better. It’s now an annual tradition where people come from far and wide to experience the amazing attractions and activities.
Halloween Treats
As you enter the enchanted forest, you’ll be surrounded by beautiful trees and colorful foliage. The air smells of pumpkin spice, and everything nice. Along your journey, you’ll go through windy pathways decorated with twinkle lights, fog machines, and giant pumpkins—perfect for taking pictures!
On your way to HallOVeen’s open-air ‘barnyard’ area, get ready to see friendly scarecrows, hay bales, an old-fashioned tractor, and much more. You’ll also find fun activities like a pumpkin patch where children can pick out their own pumpkin to take home or make into holiday decorations; a petting zoo with farm animals; face painting, and henna booths as arts-and-crafts tables that provide hours of entertainment.
The festivities end at the spooky Stage of Enchantment, where you can enjoy live music and fireworks for the grand finale.
Educational Activities
HallOVeen at Opportunity Village is more than just costumes and candy. Educational activities also teach visitors about different cultures around the world through storytelling, arts and crafts, and interactive games.
Two of the most popular activities are the Magical Forest and Trick-or-Treat Trail. The Magical Forest is a hands-on experience where children can learn how to identify different species of plants, explore nature and its ecosystems, and discover the connection between humans and their environment. On the Trick-or-Treat Trail, participants can visit different stations where they can learn about cultural holidays from around the world.
